Class Description

In this class, you will learn how to use simple tools (mostly utilizing a tennis ball, but also a lacrosse ball, foam roller, PVC pipe and Thera Cane) to work out knots and tight areas in your body.  You will be guided through a general routine to follow as loosening up certain areas first makes it easier for other muscles to respond better.  You will learn how tightness in specific areas contribute to back pain, neck pain, plantar fasciitis, etc.

The more you work on yourself the better you will feel.  You will start to understand how the restrictions in your body impede your posture and cause pain, and how working out the knots will help you have better posture and movement.

Required equipment: Yoga/workout mat, comfortable athletic clothing, tennis/lacrosse ball
Optional equipment: foam roller, 1-2 inch PVC pipe, Thera Cane
