Workshop Description
Our Gentle Yoga Series is perfect for those who are looking for a nurturing, slow-paced, and relaxing yoga practice.  In this class we will focus on stretching, relaxing breath techniques, gentle strengthening, and meditation.  Everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace and modify as necessary for their own bodies.  This practice is appropriate for beginners, people with limited mobility or injuries, and anyone who is just looking for a gentle practice!  All are welcome!

About the Facilitator
Colleen Munson started her personal yoga practice in 2000 to help alleviate back pain during pregnancy.  She was amazed to discover the transformative power of yoga in all areas of her life and personal well-being, in addition to the physical healing aspects.  She has been teaching yoga since 2009 and continues to be awed at the benefits of a yoga practice.  She feels grateful to be able to help others along their yoga journey.  Colleen strongly believes that everyone can do yoga; regardless of age, weight, fitness level, injuries, or flexibility, and her teaching reflects this belief.  Her philosophy is that yoga postures should be fitted to the individual body, rather than fitting the body to the postures.  Colleen teaches with compassion for all levels of ability and is always happy to provide modifications or progressions throughout the practice. Different styles of meditation are also introduced and practiced in Colleen’s classes.
