Introduction to Colored Pencil Class – taught by Marilyn Kulesa
Marilyn is a member of the Colored Pencil society (CPSA) and the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA), I have exhibited my work in a variety of shows and galleries. I have taught several colored pencil workshops for adults and teens.

Each participant must bring their own supplies. Supplies: 12 or 24 prismacolor colored pencil set, drawing pad, 9×12 or 11×14 size [canson water color 90 lb. or stonehenge vellum], pencil sharpener, eraser, and regular pencil.

Saturday, 9/19 class – This first class will concentrate on demonstration of colored pencil techniques such as burnishing, blending and using the materials necessary to create a beautiful painting. Marilyn
will provide a variety of patterns to demonstrate these techniques as students follow along. No drawing experience is needed for these classes, just a desire to create and appreciate the beauty of a plant or flower using the medium of colored pencil.

Saturday, 9/26 class – This will be a continuation of the September 19th class encouraging the student to develop the techniques of painting with colored pencil finishing the project already in progress or starting a new painting. Students will be encouraged to bring in a favorite item or work from another pattern provided.

Cost: $40 per participant for a 2-week class
Time: 10:00 AM – 12 Noon (teens and adults)
